Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2-3 years of MRI experience and ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR) certification for a 13-week contract assignment.

Details

• 58-bed facility with no trauma designation
• 1 MRI imaging room
• Majority outpatient population with occasional 1-3 inpatients per day and some ED patients
• Mainly adult and geriatric patients, with rare pediatric cases
• Average of 7-11 patients seen per day
• GE MRI machine and EPIC EMR
• PACS experience required, no specific system necessary
• 12-hour day shifts, 0700-1930, Thursday-Friday-Saturday, 36 hours per week
• First two weeks of onboarding scheduled Monday-Friday 7:30-16:00
• No on-call requirements
• No weekend rotation outside of scheduled shifts

Requirements

• ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2-3 years of MRI experience required
• Strong general MRI clinical skills and patient interaction skills
• Experience working with geriatric and behavioral health patient populations preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Lead tech and manager present for support on the unit
• Tech assistant support when staffing allows
• Possibility to assist with X-ray imaging if experienced and comfortable, though not required
• Expectation to help lift patients within the department when not busy with MRI duties
• Hospital orientation plus a full week of training with another MRI Tech
• Travelers are not left unattended during the first two weeks in the role
• Possibility of working 1 holiday with standard hours
• RTO requires full manager approval and may be discussed during second-round interview
• Schedule released every 6 weeks
• Black scrubs and closed-toed nursing or tennis shoes required
• Free parking available
• Candidates with prior travel experience preferred, though first-time travelers may be considered with manager approval for interview
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
• Second-round clinical interview with manager approval required
