Car Wash Maintenance Mechanic (1099 Contractor)

We're seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join us as a 1099 contractor, providing both scheduled and on-call support to keep our equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance twice a month on car wash equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems)
Be available on-call for urgent repairs and troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
Maintain accurate service records and logs
Coordinate with management for scheduling and project planning
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines

Requirements:

Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a car wash or similar environment
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Must have your own tools and reliable transportation
Must be able to bring an assistant if needed for specific products or projects
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Valid driver's license
Availability for occasional weekend or emergency repairs

Compensation & Terms:

$35-$50 per hour, based on skill and experience
1099 contract position
Flexible scheduling for preventative maintenance
On-call availability required
Must have own tools
Potential for long-term engagement based on performance
