Project Optimus is the next step in our multi-year, Oracle Cloud journey that will implement multiple modules in Oracle’s Cloud ERP and EPM SaaS environments. One of the main objectives of Project Optimus is to redesign the Chart of Accounts (COA) that has served us well for the past 20+ years. This new COA will give us the flexibility to support both transactional processes and reporting requirements for future growth. The analytics portion of Project Optimus will allow our enterprise to leverage this data in reporting.

Build out analytics data pipeline for Finance Transformation initiative

Create solutions involving complex and/or newer technologies, often requiring research and experimentation to complete. Applies varied delivery frameworks to achieve speed to value.

Facilitates troubleshooting and fixes complex data issues including performance.

Communicates status effectively and escalates to project tech lead as necessary

Completes data validation tasks and documents completeness/accuracy

Develops technical documentation

Required Technical Skills: (Please BOLD top 3 required skills)

• 4+ years of proficiency in ETL Development (Informatica: IICS/IDMC)
• 4+ years of proficiency in SQL
• Experience in Source Control Management (GitHub, Subversion)
• Familiarity with cloud storage (preferably AWS), Oracle Databases
• Experience with Cloud engineering concepts including ELT, CDC, Spark, etc.
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD
• Understanding of programming concepts and relational databases

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with continuous deployment architectural patterns of AWS with automated testing
• Experience with agile project management methodologies and system development lifecycle

Days will usually start with a daily stand-up and aligning on the goals of the day and providing updates on current tasks. From there, you will work on assigned development tasks and collaborate with different members of the project as needed. As part of development tasks, you will complete unit testing for completeness and accuracy. Work may also include knowledge transfer with internal Smucker resources to understand the nature of the changes.
