Job Responsibilities

• Delivering nursing assistant care to residents in post-acute facilities
• Adhering to and following resident care plans at all times
• Assisting with meals, including serving and feeding residents as needed
• Taking and tracking blood pressure readings and other vital signs
• Keeping residents' rooms clean and orderly - sanitizing surfaces, changing linens, and maintaining a hygienic environment
• Helping residents with ADLs such as personal hygiene, toileting, and mobility
• Watching over residents throughout each shift and communicating any concerns to the broader nursing team
• Repositioning residents and assisting with transitions in and out of beds and wheelchairs
• Bridging communication between residents, medical staff, and visiting family members
• Providing genuine companionship and emotional support to residents

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid CNA certification required
• Understanding of medical terminology and fundamental nursing care procedures
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills when working with medical professionals and residents
• Sharp observational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
