This attorney will be seated into their Labor & Employment Practice , which is based in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale .

Position Overview:

• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in employment law, with a strong preference for those with prior employment litigation experience, particularly on the management side.
• Experience in employment counseling or an in-house employment law role is highly desirable.
• This position offers a unique opportunity for proactive attorneys who are passionate about taking on a high-level role within a sophisticated practice, handling all aspects of labor and employment law.
• This role involves substantial interaction with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings
• Draft and argue motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Provide sound legal counsel to clients on complex employment matters
• Manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Prior experience in employment law, though candidates with substantive litigation experience and a keen interest in labor and employment law could have the opportunity to grow and be mentored given their in the office 5 days a week.
• Must be admitted to practice in Florida and in good standing.
