Position Description:

The Hot Work Coordinator (HWC) serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating, managing, and processing hot work permits onboard U.S. Navy ships during repair projects. Responsibilities include reviewing and tracking permits, maintaining daily hot work logs, coordinating with Navy personnel, contractors, project teams, and fire safety representatives, attending project and safety meetings, generating weekly and forecast reports, resolving work conflicts, and ensuring compliance with NAVSEA standards and company safety procedures. The role requires active participation in shipboard operations, safety monitoring, and production scheduling while prioritizing safe execution of all hot work activities.

• Shipyard Operations and Production Planning experience

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of contractor experience in ship repair or shipyard operations

• Experience with hot work permit requirements and shipboard fire prevention procedures

• Working knowledge of ship compartment layouts and navigation onboard ships

• Experience interacting with Navy personnel and project management teams

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
