Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite position, primarily focusing on home care services in the vibrant city of Jacksonville, Florida. You will interact directly with clients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment that enhances recovery while making the most of the local community's resources. Your role involves providing care in a comfortable, familiar setting, allowing for greater patient engagement and facilitating their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function while adhering to individualized care plans prescribed by the physician.
• Assess each client's level of physical function using diagnostic tests that evaluate muscular, neural, and joint performance.
• Conduct home environment evaluations to recommend modifications that support client independence and mobility.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and instruct clients in non-manual exercises aimed at enhancing performance and well-being.
• Implement traction, massage, and other physical treatments to promote recovery.
• Evaluate and adapt prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, collaborating closely with clients and the medical team.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaborate on comprehensive client care strategies.
• Educate and consult with clients and their families regarding therapy programs and the use of necessary devices.
• Timely complete and submit all clinical documentation according to company policies.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants during specific phases of client care to ensure the quality of services provided.
• Participate in the continuous enhancement of patient care plans by conducting regular assessments and modifications as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

• Certification in CPR and valid driver's license with auto insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and skill level.
