Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Milwaukie, OR
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.
Job Description: As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for women during the labor and delivery process. You will work in a fast-paced environment requiring clinical expertise in high-risk and high-census scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the labor and delivery setting.
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and assist in high-risk deliveries.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as needed.
- Assist in labor coaching and support mothers during the delivery process.
- Manage postpartum care and educate families on newborn care.
- Float between units as needed based on patient care requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
- LDRP experience is required.
- Current RN license and BLS certification.
- NRP and STABLE certifications preferred.
