ChristianaCare's Women's Health at Map II in Newark, DE is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented  Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with strong gynecology (GYN) expertise, preferably including experience supporting both medical and surgical pregnancy termination procedures. Due to the complexity of the role and the specialized patient population we serve, the ideal candidate will be able to quickly integrate into the practice, work independently, and confidently support providers with minimal onboarding.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
The  Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
