Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on Pediatrics for a 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. The position requires availability for night shifts and the ability to work every other weekend, as well as a willingness to float to multiple facilities within the region including emergency departments and intensive care units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients.
• Utilize advanced respiratory therapies and interventions.
• Administer emergency care and triage as needed.
• Operate and maintain ventilators including V-60, Servo-i, Drager, Hamilton T-1, Vapotherm, and Optiflow.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Handle holiday shifts and any additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification with proof of certification.
• GA Respiratory Care Professional license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent RRT experience with Pediatric patients.
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Educational requirements: Copy of diploma or associate degree program with RRT credentials.

Skills Required

• Intermediate to advanced skills in various respiratory therapy modalities.
• Proficient in managing ventilators and critical care scenarios.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma units.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

Work Schedule

This position involves a night shift of 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) with no block scheduling. Flexibility is crucial due to the requirement to float between different facilities and units.

Additional Notes

Candidates must be open to minimal or no requests for time off (RTO) during the contract period.
