Team Cleaner Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $13.35 per hour Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Employees are to perform routine custodial activities at their assigned school site or facility to maintain areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. NIGHTLY JOB SUMMARY (3 pm‑11:30 pm) Clean classrooms, restrooms (if applicable), and related facilities as assigned. Dust mop and vacuum carpets in classrooms. Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, and windows. Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to the team leader; maintain building security. Wash windows and walls periodically; empty pencil sharpeners daily. Clean blinds, dust, and polish furniture and woodwork. Lock and unlock doors and gates as appropriate; maintain security of assigned areas. Respond to emergency clean‑ups such as spills and safety issues. Perform other duties as assigned. Team1 spends 3 hours at Oak Hill and 5 hours at Southwestern High School nightly. Team2 spends 3 hours at Southern Elementary School, 4 hours at Southern Middle School, and 1 hour per night at the South Wellness Center. SUMMER JOB SUMMARY (day shift) Team Cleaners work day shift during the summer and may work day shift on snow days and other days without students. Participate in major summer cleaning projects as assigned, working with the assigned school to accomplish summer cleaning under the lead of the Head Custodian. GROUP1 SUMMER DUTIES One member reports to Oak Hill Elementary School. Four members report to Southwestern High School. GROUP2 SUMMER DUTIES Three members report to Southern Elementary School and are responsible for cleaning the South Wellness Center daily. Two members report to Southern Middle School. Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate as required by Kentucky law. Self‑motivated and responsible. Dependable, flexible, and trainable. Knowledge of basic methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in custodial work. Knowledge of proper methods for storing equipment, materials, and supplies. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques. Knowledge of safety regulations, including SDS sheets and chemical information. Expectations Maintain regular attendance. Be self‑motivated and responsible. Be dependable, flexible, and trainable. Basic knowledge of custodial methods and safety regulations. Ability To Perform routine custodial activities at an assigned school site or facility. Use cleaning materials, equipment, and methods according to predetermined standards. Learn and apply knowledge of schedules, procedures, and equipment use. Learn appropriate safety precautions and procedures. Perform heavy physical labor. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Meet schedules and timelines. Communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing. Walk, bend, lift, push, and stand for extended periods of time. Working Conditions Work performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. Must be able to lift one‑third of their body weight, not to exceed 50 pounds. Requires activities involving moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
