Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Texas
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs and goals
• Comfort with documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students requiring physical therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with students’ IEP teams
• Deliver direct therapy, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for accommodations and mobility support
• Educate staff and parents on techniques and strategies that facilitate student participation and safety in the school environment
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of services provided
