Learn more at CFD Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a well-established team that supports the development and sustainment of a simulation framework software. The candidate will support the lifecycle of software development efforts, which include development, integration, and deployment for test and analysis efforts with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense elements such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, CDU, UEWR, GMD, and C2BMC. The candidate will enhance their understanding of the missile defense system and how each element is integrated into framework for test campaigns.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited institutionMid and senior level experience candidates (5-20 years) will be consideredStrong containerization skills and experience (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong programming skills in C/C++, C#, and Python, including object oriented.Experience with DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and scrum/agile software developmentCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance.Desired Qualifications:Experience with MDA HWIL test and analysis and simulation frameworksExperience and working knowledge of missile defense architecture, including radars, fire control systems, launchers, and messaging protocols.Location:This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.Benefits: CFD Research offers competitive salaries and excellent employee benefits, including an employer matching 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
