Responsibilities:  

• Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the director of environmental services 

• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner 

• Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit 

• Gives an assigned unit attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns 

• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs 

• Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use 

• Assists with room changes, as needed 

• Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights 

• Performs other duties as requested 

Compliance:  

• Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA 

• Participates in required orientation and training programs 

• Promptly reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to supervisor, Compliance Liaison or to the Compliance Officer 

• Cooperates in monitoring and auditing functions and investigations  

• Participates, as requested, in quality assurance and process improvement activities 

Educational/Vocational Requirements:  

• High School Degree or equivalent 

• This position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to medical and physical needs
