We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who wants to grow within a collaborative, thoughtful, and patient-centered environment. About Us FPPA is a small, locally owned psychiatric practice serving children, adolescents, and adults. We are deeply committed to individualized care, strong therapeutic relationships, and a supportive team culture. As a fee-for-service clinic with a consistent and established patient base, we do not participate directly with private or government insurance programs. This allows our clinicians to focus on what’s best for each patient often leading to more meaningful care and outcomes. Our clinical team is led by our Medical Director, Dr. Tian Duke-Sui, MD , a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, and includes a Physician Assistant, John Kwon, PA-C who provides care to children, adolescents, and adults; a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Lee Davis LCMHC-CRC , who specializes in delivering therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults; a Psychology Intern, Daniel Montenegro , who conducts in-house ASD, psychoeducational evaluations, play therapy and more; a Registered Nurse, Alissa Duke-Sui RN , with specialized experience in both critical care and psychiatry; as well as two full-time and two part-time Medical Coordinators who support the overall function and efficiency of the practice. Our Approach to Care We take a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to treatment, incorporating modalities such as ACT, CBT, DBT, and person-centered care. Prior experience is welcome but not required. FPPA prioritizes curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn, and we actively support ongoing professional development. Experienced, stable front desk team with low turnover Strong administrative support for scheduling and coordination Dedicated Registered Nurse assisting with triage, patient education, prior authorizations, and care coordination and collaboration with schools, community partners, and outside providers This allows you to focus on your patients while feeling supported throughout your day. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new and returning patients Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring effectiveness Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as clinically indicated Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment options Participate in case consultations and team meetings What We Offer We offer a competitive compensation structure within a warm, collaborative, and team-oriented environment where clinicians can thrive. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation with expected annual earnings typically ranging from $120,000 to $180,000+, depending on experience, productivity, and schedule structure 401(k) Safe Harbor retirement plan Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Six weeks of flexible time off annually for clinicians, allowing for meaningful work-life balance Strong administrative and clinical support to reduce burnout and enhance workflow Qualifications Current, active, and unrestricted PA or NP license in North Carolina Board certification or board eligibility (PA-C, PMHNP-BC, or equivalent) DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start Psychiatry experience preferred; strong interest required for new graduates Ability to perform psychiatric evaluations and develop differential diagnoses Experience with psychopharmacology across a range of conditions Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Comfort working across the lifespan, or willingness to grow into it Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (EMR documentation) Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care A genuine desire to learn, grow, and continue developing within a supportive and collaborative environment Why Join FPPA?
