This is a hands-on role offering long-term, stable employment and a competitive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will oversee daily HR functions for facility employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with federal and Florida employment laws, supporting leaders, and driving employee engagement and performance.The HR Business Partner provides guidance on employee relations, talent acquisition, wage & hour compliance, attendance, leaves of absence, safety, and training within the Florida regulatory environment.Key Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition & OnboardingLead full-cycle recruitment for hourly production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse roles, as well as select salaried positionsEnsure compliance with applicable federal and Florida hiring requirements (e.g., background checks, I-9 compliance, E-Verify as applicable)Execute structured onboarding including OSHA safety orientation, GMP training, harassment prevention training, and facility policiesEmployee Relations & CultureProvide guidance to leaders on consistent disciplinary practices and documentation aligned with federal and Florida lawConduct and document employee investigations, ensuring neutrality, consistency, and complianceAddress employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and maintain a positive work environmentDrive engagement initiatives and employee feedback programsWage & Hour ComplianceEnsure adherence to federal and Florida wage & hour laws, including:Minimum wage compliance (Florida-specific rates)Overtime compliance under the FLSAAccurate timekeeping and payroll practicesOff-the-clock work preventionFinal pay practices in accordance with company policy and applicable lawPartner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processingLeave of Absence ManagementAdminister and coordinate leave programs in compliance with federal and Florida requirements, including:FMLA and other applicable federal leave lawsADA accommodations and interactive processWorkers’ compensation leave coordinationMilitary leave (USERRA), jury duty, and other statutory leavesCompany-provided leave policies and disability programsMaintain accurate documentation, required notices, and return-to-work processesSafety, Compliance & HR PoliciesSupport compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programsPartner with plant leadership to support training, audits, safety observations, and corrective actionsMaintain employee files, policies, SOPs, and HR processes aligned with federal and Florida requirementsOversee required trainings (harassment prevention, safety programs, etc.)Performance Management, Coaching & DevelopmentGuide leaders through performance management processes, including coaching, corrective action, and terminationsSupport performance reviews and development planningTrain supervisors on employment law fundamentals (wage & hour, discipline, accommodations, etc.)HR Reporting & MetricsTrack and report turnover, hiring trends, attendance, training compliance, and leave utilizationProvide KPI reporting and data-driven insights to site and HR leadershipMaintain HRIS accuracy and support auditsBachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)PreferredExperience in food & beverage manufacturing or CPGBilingual English/SpanishExperience in a private-equity-backed or high-growth companyPHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certificationExperience Requirements5+ years of HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience supporting manufacturing, food production, or distributionStrong understanding of federal and Florida employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, wage & hour compliance, and reasonable accommodation requirementsExperience supporting a diverse hourly workforce across multiple shiftsAbility to work on-site with regular floor presenceThis job description is not intended, and should not be construed, to be an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions as associated with a job.
