Civil Engineering Director

Bay Area Region Operations ManagerThis position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the firm’s Bay Area region, including but not limited to design QA/QC, team supervision, budget tracking, planning & zoning, client management, contract negotiating and employee retention. This position must be able to make decisions independently and demonstrate experience in directing and coordinating the workload of projects to team members.***Our client is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time***Projects include:Commercial and Residential Site DevelopmentWater and SewerUtility LayoutInspectionsRoadway DesignResponsibilities include:Manage and collaborate with all office personnel, including professional engineers, project managers, designers/drafters, surveyors and support personnelProvide staff leadership, development and accountabilityGenerate and review project proposalsPrepare, review and authorize technical reportsBusiness DevelopmentDaily operations, including financial responsibility of budgets, coding invoices, project budgets, proposals, estimates and project analysis.Skills needed:Previous management experience is requiredStrong land development backgroundLeadership skills and the ability to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clientsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCoordinates, writes and/or edits specifications applicable to civil engineeringThorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting/approval process as it relates to civil engineeringHighly organized and detail-drivenStrong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Storm CADRequired experience:10+ years of direct Civil Engineering Management ExperienceRequired education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering requiredP.E. licensure requiredMy name is Kelley Walsh and I place engineering professionals at all levels across the country.
