This is a full-time position that allows counselors to work remotely, providing flexibility while delivering essential mental health services to diverse populations in need.

Our work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on patient availability and needs.   • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ psychological needs and develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to support clients in overcoming mental health barriers.

  • Facilitate engaging psychoeducational groups aimed at empowering individuals and families to navigate their mental health challenges within a supportive community setting.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and various healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s mental health treatment are managed holistically.

  • Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, offering immediate support and resources to clients in distress.

  • Educate patients on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring that records are up to date.

  • Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute insights for continuous improvement in service delivery.

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and best practices in therapy to enhance one’s own skills and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our community health clinic serves a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders, among others. Counselors will have the opportunity to work with both youth and adults from various backgrounds, utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to effectively address their unique needs and challenges.

Qualifications\n

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.

  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New York State.

  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and create effective treatment plans tailored to individuals or families.

  • Previous experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse clientele.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to ethical practice.
