Director of Market Development

Expedient is seeking a dynamic Director of Market Development to drive our growth through strategic leading and relationship building in western Pennsylvania. As one of the primary faces of our organization in the market, you'll play a pivotal role in opening doors to new prospects, expanding our client base, and establishing Expedient as the partner of choice in our industry.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Pipeline DevelopmentIdentify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, strategic partner development and market researchBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients aligned with company growth objectivesDevelop and execute strategic prospecting plans targeting key accounts and market segmentsLeverage industry events, conferences, and your professional networks to generate qualified leadsRelationship Management & Brand RepresentationServe as one of the primary ambassadors for Expedient, representing our brand values and capabilities in the marketplaceEstablish and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers, C-suite executives, and key stakeholdersConduct initial discovery meetings to understand prospect needs and articulate how Expedient delivers valueMaintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the sales cycleStrategic Market EngagementStay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunitiesCollaborate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and outreach strategiesProvide market intelligence and feedback to inform you on competitive positioning, product development and service offeringsParticipate in trade shows, industry events, and speaking engagements to elevate brand visibilitySales CollaborationPartner with sales professionals to provide introductions and to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leadsContribute to proposal development and presentation efforts for strategic opportunities, as neededTrack and report on lead generation activities, conversion metrics, and pipeline health on a weekly basisParticipate in strategic planning sessions to align business development initiatives with company goalsQualifications: Required10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role with demonstrated success in lead generation and pipeline developmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quicklyStrong executive presence and confidence representing an organization at all levelsEstablished network of C-Level contactsSelf-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilitiesProficiency with CRM platforms and sales productivity toolsBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)PreferredExperience in technology, cloud and data center servicesUnderstanding of consultative selling methodologiesTrack record of success in complex B2B sales environmentsLocation: This position is based at our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
