We are looking for a dependable Dispatcher to join an on-site team in Virginia. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can stay calm under pressure, manage overnight activity efficiently, and deliver responsive service to customers and internal partners. The position's schedule is 1pm-9pm Tues-Sat, with a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You must be available to work this schedule to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate overnight dispatch activities by receiving requests, prioritizing service needs, and assigning resources in a timely manner.

• Monitor active calls and service statuses to keep operations moving smoothly and address issues as they arise during the shift.

• Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, field personnel, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve scheduling concerns.

• Maintain accurate information in dispatch and call tracking systems to support efficient routing and service visibility.

• Respond to a high volume of incoming calls courteously while gathering complete details for effective action.

• Adjust schedules and logistics plans when unexpected changes occur to minimize delays and service disruptions.

• Document incidents, service outcomes, and key shift details to support continuity between teams and reporting needs.

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a fast-paced call center environment.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle urgent situations professionally and calmly.

• Proficiency with computer-based dispatch tools and other systems used to enter, update, and track service activity.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and operational teams.

• High level of reliability, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability in time-sensitive situations.
