NorthKey Community Care is seeking a Zero Suicide Project Director.  The Zero Suicide Project Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to implement a comprehensive, system-wide Zero Suicide framework across NorthKey Community Care. This role leads organizational change to embed evidence-based suicide prevention practices across care settings, ensures fidelity to the Zero Suicide model, and advances continuous quality improvement to reduce suicidal ideation, attempts, and deaths among adults served. Work Hours: Generally, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 pm., with flexibility for evening or weekend event coverage as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree; five (5) years of leadership experience in healthcare or behavioral health systems.
• Preferred: Master’s degree; professional licensure; federal or state grant management experience; suicide prevention experience.
• Experience working with crisis services preferred.

JOB DUTIES

• Lead system-wide adoption and continuous improvement of the Zero Suicide framework across behavioral health, primary care, crisis services, and community-based systems.
• Ensure implementation of all required Zero Suicide elements, including leadership engagement, workforce training, suicide risk identification, engagement, treatment, care transitions, and continuous quality improvement. 
• Establish and convene a Zero Suicide Oversight Steering Council to guide implementation, monitor progress, and support accountability for outcomes. Ensure all grant deliverables are achieved.
• Provide consultation and technical assistance to clinical leaders and frontline staff to support consistent, high-fidelity implementation of suicide prevention practices. 
• Collaborate with the Program Evaluator to develop appropriate data tracking systems and manage review of data for the grant.
• Provide overall leadership and accountability for the grant, ensuring compliance with SAMHSA cooperative agreement requirements and federal regulations. 
• Serve as the primary point of contact with SAMHSA, including participation in monitoring calls, site visits, SAMHSA-required meetings, and technical assistance activities. 
• Ensure timely submission of all required programmatic, performance, and financial reports, and coordinate responses to monitoring findings.
• Collaborate with internal training leadership to plan and oversee suicide prevention training for clinical and non-clinical staff. 
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders, including public health agencies, crisis services, hospitals, law enforcement, schools, and advocacy organizations. 
• Promote alignment and coordination across grant-funded initiatives to maximize organizational learning, efficiency, and sustainability of suicide prevention efforts. 
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely submission of all reports.
• Use internal performance data and community-level findings to guide quality improvement and prevention strategy, including alignment with public-health-led Suicide Fatality Review (SFR) activities. 
• Support development of sustainability strategies to maintain suicide prevention capacity beyond the grant period.
• Oversee project data collection, reporting, and analysis to ensure compliance with SAMHSA grant requirements and to inform continuous quality improvement and project implementation. Serves as the primary liaison with the state/local Health Department epidemiologist to support data sharing, evaluation activities, and population health analysis.

• Represent NorthKey in a professionally appropriate manner.
