Nutrition Care Associate

Job Description Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning tasks. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience. Shift Details: 20 hours per week, part time benefits. Open availability and weekends a must. Essential Functions Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process. Performs food preparation functions according to system standards, such as preparing salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit. Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g., dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels). Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment such as ovens, fryers, and hoods. Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and resolves basic customer service issues independently. Skills Active Listening Coordinating tasks with others Guest focused Communicates clearly Attention to detail Qualifications Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (only in Utah and Idaho). Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred). Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred). Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with customers requiring communication and rapid understanding. Manual dexterity to manipulate equipment with precision and use of computer, phone, and cable set‑up. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement, transport, pull, push equipment, and work on hands and knees, bend to set up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including items up to heavy weights. Remain standing for long periods of time. Tolerate extremes in temperature and exposure to cleaning chemicals. Location & Schedule Platte Valley Hospital, Brighton, Colorado. Scheduled weekly hours: 20. Hourly rate: $19.29 – $24.38, dependent upon experience.
