Mid-City Scrap, LLC, a long-established metal recycling leader in Middletown, CT, seeks an Outside Scrap Metal Buyer to source and purchase ferrous and nonferrous metals from industrial, commercial, and small business suppliers. This field-based role includes visiting customer sites, inspecting materials, negotiating pricing, and coordinating deliveries with our yard and logistics teams. You’ll track market trends, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold strict safety and environmental standards. As part of a family-owned, community-focused company, you’ll build long-term relationships, support sustainability and the circular economy, and develop a stable career with opportunities to learn specialized equipment, expand your territory, and grow into broader operations or leadership responsibilities in a hands-on, supportive environment.
