Your Responsibilities:
Enhance Veteran Care: Provide impactful, patient-focused care to a varied Veteran population dealing with complex arrhythmias.
Advance Cardiac Technology: Diagnose and manage a wide range of heart rhythm disorders utilizing cutting-edge technology, including performing complex catheter ablations, device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs), and lead extractions.
Influence Medical Education: Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as part of your faculty role at the University of Arizona.
Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside distinguished cardiology professionals, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff for comprehensive care.
Broaden Your Expertise: Participate in a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cardiac ultrasound, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI interpretation based on your interests.
Lead Quality Initiatives: Contribute to innovative quality improvement and patient safety projects in a facility recognized with the Robert W. Carey Award.

Compensation & Benefits:
Attractive Salary: $360,000-$380,000 annually, plus performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
Sign-On Incentives & EDRP: Up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement for qualified candidates.
Generous Paid Leave: 50-55 paid days off each year, including annual/vacation, sick leave, federal holidays, and CME time.
Federal Retirement & Insurance Benefits: Federal pension (vesting in 5 years), 401K with up to 5% contributions from the VA, and a comprehensive suite of health, vision, dental, life, and long-term care insurance.

Licensing Requirements: Only one active, unrestricted medical license from any US state is necessary.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Qualifications:
Must be a US citizen (non-citizens may be considered if no qualified US citizens are available).
MD/DO degree with completion of a US-based residency and a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Board Certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (ABIM) is required.
Eligibility for appointments at the VA and University of Arizona.
Possession of an active, unrestricted US medical license.
Must maintain AHA BLS/ACLS certification.
