DevOps Engineer [Remote]

This role is focused on designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise-grade applications. You will work within a fully remote, international environment, contributing to mission-critical systems hosted primarily on AWS. The position involves a strong mix of infrastructure engineering, automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across complex distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure reliable deployments and operational excellence. In addition to building and maintaining cloud environments, you will contribute to incident response, monitoring, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement of infrastructure practices. This is a hands-on technical role with significant exposure to modern cloud architectures and DevOps best practices.

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into robust architecture designs covering performance, security, and availability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to ensure repeatability and reliability of deployments.
• Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and proactively plan for scalability and future growth.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, including networks, operating systems, and application environments.
• Develop and execute load, stress, and disaster recovery testing strategies, ensuring system resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate infrastructure deliverables and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Respond to incidents and support tickets in accordance with SLA commitments and operational standards.
• Contribute to documentation, operational procedures, and best practices for cloud and DevOps operations.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows system administration.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, protocols, and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience with load balancers, reverse proxies, web accelerators, and CDNs.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
• Nice to have: AWS certifications and interest in Generative AI technologies.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (approximately once per month).
