Fire Sprinkler Designer - Rocklin/Sacramento

Overview COSCO Fire Protection is a multifaceted, full-service fire sprinkler and life safety systems company specializing in the installation, service and inspection of a wide variety of automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm (life safety systems), kitchen suppression, extinguishers and special hazard systems throughout the West Coast. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Notes: Other duties may be assigned. Attend project turnover meetings with design supervisor, project manager and field superintendent. Use AutoSprink, AutoCAD and related tools to create fire sprinkler design drawings and submittal packages within the limits of system specifications, costs and planning. Prepare submittal documents and applications for permit. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for installation. BIM modeling for coordination using Navisworks and Revit. Stock listing and purchasing of all material for projects. Maintain project drawing files, associated records and documentation in an orderly condition. Develop and maintain updated library of symbols & drawings (templates) for use on future projects. Develop spreadsheets and other tools to increase quality of drawings while decreasing time required on standard tasks. Operation of large plotter, scanner and reproduction equipment. Be able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Fire Sprinkler Design experience utilizing CAD or AutoSprink software Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills. Proficient with all basic computer skills and software applications including MS Office & AutoCAD 2018 or higher. Proficient in reading and understanding Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical layouts and diagrams. Basic working knowledge and understanding of fire alarm related electronics, codes and practices. Thorough working knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes & standards. Strong ability to follow directions given by supervisor to develop / design drawings. Good driving record with valid driver's license. Fire Certifications a plus. NICET Certification a plus.
