As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units. Avionics Software Intern projects The projects vary but can include the design, development and testing of avionics hardware and software for programs ranging from orbital rockets, ground systems, test stands, to moon landers. During your internship experience, you can expect to: Gain hands‑on, real‑world experience. Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers. Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization. Basic Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Currently enrolled in a graduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship. Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework. Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passion for mission and vision. Desired experience (include in your resume) Relevant internship/co‑op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills and leadership qualities. Hands‑on project experience. Experience with software verification & testing. Exposure to CI/CD. Software coding experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python, JavaScript, Shell, Rust. Experience with embedded software. ARINC Standards, UML/Software Design. Flexibility and adaptability. Ability to work as a member of a team. We offer housing and relocation support. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from their work locations. Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre‑employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
