Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Pocatella, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 48-bed medical surgical unit with diverse patient population
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for a wide variety of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and more
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including central line management, chest tubes, wound vac, tracheostomy care, and blood product administration

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the area
