Position

Technology Support Specialist
(Non-union, non-administrative)

Hours

Full-Time (12-month) - 250 days, 2000 hours
Bulk of scheduled work will be performed during a regular afternoon/evening schedule, with willingness to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in related technology field preferred
• Specialized training in the design, installation and maintenance of personal computers, telecommunication equipment, video services, and voice, data and video networks
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence in the repair of computers/related equipment and software support of computers/technologies
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support administrators, staff, and students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, public service-minded demeanor
• Ability to take direction well, work independently, and constructively apply feedback
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
• Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Consistent use of excellent judgment, tact, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
• Must successfully pass BCI/FBI criminal background checks and a pre-employment drug screening
• Strict compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board of Education policies
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for all assigned responsibilities
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may deem appropriate and acceptable
