Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This position focuses on call-only responsibilities, addressing a critical staffing shortage. With an average patient volume of 14-16 per day in the clinic, you will handle a diverse range of cases. The practice is equipped with ten exam rooms, an onsite lab, and ultrasound facilities, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The clinical scope includes routine and complicated deliveries, various gynecological procedures, and a balanced mix of low and high-risk pregnancies.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The assignment offers a variety of call schedules, including 24-hour and 12-hour shifts. Physicians can expect a dynamic work environment with varying call ratios, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Support and Work Environment

Join a well-supported team consisting of one full-time MD, one GYN MD, and one PRN MD, along with four Certified Nurse Midwives who often take primary call. The supportive work environment includes a medical assistant and triage nurse for each clinician in the clinic and a varying number of RNs in the birth center, depending on census. Physicians will have access to advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, including ultrasound machines, colposcopes, LEEP, and D&C tools.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in OB/GYN.
• Active Vermont license or willingness to obtain one, with IMLC candidates welcome.
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program in the U.S. or Canada.
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications.
• Clean malpractice history preferred.
