Human Services Licensing Representative - Northeast Region

The Human Services Licensing Representative position with the Bureau of Human Services Licensing offers a chance to support safe and secure living environments across the region. This role allows you to help protect the well-being of residents by ensuring that homes follow important laws and regulations. This role focuses on reviewing licensed personal care homes and assisted living residences to ensure they meet state requirements for resident safety and support. You will work independently while gathering information, reviewing documents, and helping facilities understand how to meet state standards. As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will perform the following duties: Compliance Inspections: Complete initial and ongoing inspections of personal care homes and assisted living residences to determine adherence to state laws and regulations Complaint Reviews: Investigate complaints and incidents to assess facts and verify compliance with regulatory requirements Information Gathering: Interview residents, staff, families, and officials to collect details related to licensing inspections Document Review: Examine medical, legal, and program documents to identify compliance issues and support inspection findings Technical Assistance: Provide guidance to operators and staff to help them understand and meet state regulations Enforcement Actions: Recommend licensing or corrective actions based on inspection results and professional judgment Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Travel is required Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Northeast Region which includes Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, or Wyoming counties.
