You will work at the intersection ofinfrastructure, data systems, and applied artificial intelligence, ensuring ourtechnology stack is robust, efficient, and positioned for future growth.Position ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Staff Engineer, you will:Define and drive the technical vision for infrastructure and AI-powered systems across the organizationDesign, architect, and implement highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systemsLead technical decision-making on critical projects, balancing short-term needs with long-term sustainabilityEstablish and champion engineering best practices, design patterns, and coding standardsArchitect and optimize compute infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiencyDesign and implement database solutions (relational and NoSQL) that scale to meet business demandsDrive cloud infrastructure strategy, including containerization, orchestration, and serverless architecturesEnsure system reliability, observability, and operational excellence across all platform componentsIdentify and prioritize opportunities to apply AI/ML to solve high-impact business problemsStay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to business challengesMentor and grow senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learningConduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback on technical proposalsCollaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and business stakeholdersLead complex, ambiguous projects from conception through deliveryDrive pragmatic trade-offs between technical debt, velocity, and qualityContribute hands-on to critical codebases when neededChampion operational excellence and incident management best practicesQualificationsDeep expertise in infrastructure systems, including compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, cloud services), networking, and storageStrong database experience across relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB)Demonstrated experience applying AI to solve real-world problems in production environmentsExpert-level proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Rust)Experience designing and building distributed systems at scaleStrong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure OR AWS) and infrastructure-as-code practicesHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD)Background in building real-time data processing systems (Kafka, Flink, Spark)Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesExperience working in a platform engineering team, building internal developer platforms or shared infrastructure servicesExperience10+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of increasing technical scope and impact6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks5+ years of development in a large-scale, mission-critical environmentHands-on work experience coaching and mentor personnel in a technical environment5+ years of experience with one of the public clouds - AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service5+ years of experience working in a platform engineering team, building internal developer platforms or shared infrastructure servicesEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience#LI-JK1Annual Salary$130,000.00 - $260,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
