Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care directly to clients both in the community and through telehealth, including assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention for students experiencing serious mental health conditions.
- Cascade evidence-based screening and assessments to identify client needs, followed by creating comprehensive, integrated care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
- Collaborate actively with a diverse team to establish goals and enhance service delivery, while maintaining a focus on the unique backgrounds and needs of each client.
- Engage with clients through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing a client-centered approach that emphasizes empowerment and choice.
- Monitor client progress, ensuring fidelity to treatment plans and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes.
- Assist with crisis management and stabilization efforts, providing immediate interventions as necessary to ensure client safety.
- Participate in training, supervision, and quality assurance activities to uphold the highest standards of clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents in a school environment who may be facing a range of challenges including major mental illnesses and severe emotional disturbances. You will work closely with families, educators, and external support systems to promote the well-being of students, guiding them toward recovery and resilience.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred for in-depth understanding of clinical practices.
- Proficient knowledge of assessment methodologies and therapeutic techniques tailored to a school-based setting, with an emphasis on risk assessment and crisis management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills essential for effective documentation and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with, understand, and advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique traditions, beliefs, and cultural identities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, enabling effective caseload management and adherence to regulatory standards.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in a mental health or social work role, particularly within educational or youth-focused settings.
- Familiarity with school mental health frameworks and collaborative care approaches is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
