Patient Care Tech Intern — 4-Week Hands-On Training

Responsibilities Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN. Provide basic nursing responsibilities such as bathing, helping the patient with toileting needs, bed‑making, assisting the patient walk/move, feeding, taking vital signs, and entering data into the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR). Additional training will be provided for sterile technique and urinary catheter insertion. Training Locations Mease Countryside Hospital - Safety Harbor Morton Plant Hospital - Clearwater Mease Dunedin Hospital - Dunedin St. Anthony's Hospital - St. Petersburg Program Details Program start date: Monday, September 14, 2026. Program length: 4 weeks. Class Schedule Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM Clinical Days: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Tuition Costs None. Work Agreement Commitment of 1,872 hours after graduation. 6 shifts on the nursing unit upon completion of the education program. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Attendance is required in every class and clinical shift. Complete a work agreement for one year upon completion of the education program.
