Location: Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry, 880 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223

Position: Full-Time, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Compensation range: $320,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience

\n Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is a leading medical acute inpatient & outpatient treatment center in Columbus, OH, treating suicide, addiction, memory disorders & mental health issues. This 130-bed acute care hospital offers a wide range of services, including Adult and Senior Inpatient Programs, Dual Diagnosis Programs, and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to address community needs.

We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time, Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to support our patients receiving specialized psychiatric care.

About the role:

The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
\n
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
\n
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
\n
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
\n
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
\n
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
\n
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
\n
• One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
\n
• Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
\n

Licenses/Certifications:

\n
• Board Certified in Psychiatry required.
\n
• Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry required.
\n
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
