In this role, the Technical Project Manager leads field-based technical execution of Electrification Solutions projects, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The Technical Project Manager will ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled on schedule and within budget while maintaining high customer satisfaction. This role leverages your expertise to address challenges, formulate and implement objectives for self and others, and influence both short-term and long-term business goals. This position on occasion may require presence at customers and project sites, with travel as needed to support field activities. The work model for the role is: hybrid in Houston, TX, Lake Mary, FL or Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued. Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract. Travel to customer sites, project locations, and ABB facilities as needed to support project execution. Qualifications Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and zero-incident culture. 8+ years of construction/field experience, preferably with electrical systems background. Completion of 2 years of trade school, college, or equivalent journeyman experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams. Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, and switchgear systems, with exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability for creative issue resolution. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proven experience managing subcontractors, trade labor, and multi-discipline field teams. Willingness to travel 50% and as required.
