General Pediatrician with Gastroenterology Focus, Columbia, SC

Prisma Health, the largest notforprofit healthcare provider in South Carolina, is seeking a BC/BE General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive pediatric care within a Pediatric Gastroenterology (PGI) practice. This role includes delivering both general pediatric and GIfocused care while working collaboratively with pediatric gastroenterologists and advanced practice clinicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of common and complex gastrointestinal conditions in children. The position also includes maintaining dedicated time in the general pediatric resident clinic. Details Evaluates and manages common pediatric GI conditions with progressive exposure to more complex disorders. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops evidencebased treatment plans in collaboration with Pediatric GI physicians, and contributes to clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives. Delivers longitudinal care with appropriate followup and coordination across subspecialists, primary care, and allied health professionals. Participates in inpatient and afterhours coverage, including weekend and “mommy call” rotations, with attending support for procedures and clinical guidance. As School of Medicine faculty, will teach residents, medical students, and advanced practice clinicians.
