Job Title: Title Closer - Escrow Officer

Reports To: Office Manager - Regional Manager

Job Summary:

The Title Closer - Escrow Officer is responsible for preparing and conducting real estate closings. This includes reviewing closing documents, coordinating with all transaction parties, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and disbursing funds. The role is vital in ensuring a smooth and successful transfer of property ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare closing documents in accordance with lender instructions and company guidelines.
• Review title commitments and resolve any title issues before closing.
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys.
• Conduct closing meetings and explain documents to clients.
• Collect and disburse funds in accordance with the settlement statement.
• Ensure documents are properly signed, notarized, and recorded.
• Maintain accurate closing files and records.
• Comply with all relevant regulations, including RESPA and ALTA Best Practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in title closing, escrow, or related real estate services.
• Strong knowledge of real estate closing procedures and title documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with title software (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Notary Public commission may be required.
