Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Ortho unit requiring CO or compact RN license and prior Med/Surg-Ortho experience.

Details

• Med/Ortho unit setting (not Step-Down)
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 0700-1930
• Weekend shifts required
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license, Colorado or Compact, required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Ortho specialty required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date

Additional Information

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic interventions
• Monitors and reviews therapy and treatment plans
• Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year to be eligible for this assignment
