Job Description
Title: Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Nurse

Schedule:
- Shift: Four 10-hour days/week; typical day 07:30-18:00
- Some early starts 06:30-17:00 for structural cases
- One of the 4 scheduled days designated as a "late" shift

Assignment Details:
- Patient population: Adults / Geriatrics
- Daily census: ~30 patients
- Rooms: 5 procedure rooms

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- NC or Compact license (pending acceptable for submittal)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Core clinical skills:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures (left/right heart cath, PCI, stent placement)
- Structural support: IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion
- Procedural skills: scrub and circulate, sheath removal/monitoring, topical hemostasis
- Monitoring: Swan-Ganz/PA lines, end-tidal CO2, ACT
- Emergency management: cardioversion, antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, thrombolytics, sedation/reversal agents
- Vascular tools: IV start/maintenance, IV infusion pumps

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in cardiac catheterization.
- Provide patient care and monitoring during and after procedures.
- Administer medications as per protocol, including sedation and emergency agents.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedural activities and patient status.

Compliance / Notes:
- Candidate must enter the lab within 48 hours after signing the contract.
- All required testing must be completed within 48 hours.
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- Interview requirement: Candidate availability for next 72 hours at submission is necessary.
