About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for a new out-of-school time (OST) intermediary. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading a cohesive system that brings together various youth-based programs and organizations to provide high-quality, coordinated out-of-school time programming. This role is pivotal in the development of a comprehensive business plan, with a focus on system coordination, advocacy, capacity building, and expanding access to youth opportunities. The Executive Director will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including providers, schools, funders, and city agencies, to create a common vision, facilitate collaboration, and ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the intermediary. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of four years' of senior leadership experience, with a strong background in youth development and/or out-of-school time programming. The ideal candidate will be a strategic network leader, a trusted relationship builder, a skilled convener, and a savvy administrator with financial and fundraising acumen. They must be adept at navigating complexity, challenging the status quo, and aligning stakeholders around a common agenda. The role requires a leader who is resilient, flexible, and patient, with the ability to engage in difficult conversations and advocate for the needs of the OST field. A growth mindset, a commitment to racial equity, and a proven track record in nonprofit management are essential.
