Responsibilities
- compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses medicines using a high level of technical and organizational skills
- uses critical thinking abilities throughout dispensing, compounding and clinical activities
- oversees proper handling, usage and storage of drugs in the pharmacy
- maintains standards set by the department and translates policies/procedures into daily operation and clinical activities
- supervises and trains assigned technical personnel and assumes responsibility for technical support activities within the pharmacy department

Requirements
- experience with compounding, preparing, dispensing and manufacturing medicines in a pharmacy setting
- ability to supervise and train technical personnel
- strong organizational and critical-thinking skills
- knowledge of proper drug handling, usage, and storage standards and adherence to department policies
- ability to work in an inpatient care setting
