Generator Technician

Generator Technician Belleview, FL | $23–$28/hour + commission | Full-time Sunshine Air Conditioning is growing its Whole Home Generator division and is looking for an experienced Generator Technician to join our residential team. This role is a great fit for someone with hands-on generator or electrical experience who enjoys working directly with homeowners. You'll install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot whole-home standby generators while also helping customers understand recommended repairs, upgrades, and maintenance. What You'll Do Install and service whole-home standby generators Perform generator startup, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting Diagnose electrical and operational issues Work with transfer switches, wiring, panels, breakers, and related components Explain system issues and recommended repairs to homeowners Identify additional repair, upgrade, and maintenance opportunities when appropriate Complete service documentation and maintain a clean, professional work area Follow safety procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable electrical codes What We're Looking For Previous generator, electrical, HVAC, or related residential service experience Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical skills Comfortable working in customers' homes Good communication and customer-service skills Able to explain technical issues and recommendations clearly Reliable, professional, and willing to learn Generator experience is preferred, but related residential electrical experience will be considered Pay: $23–$28/hour + commission on generator sales Benefits: Health insurance with employee premium covered Dental and vision insurance Company-paid $25,000 life insurance Paid PTO and 6 paid holidays 401(k) with up to 4% company match Year-end bonus Overtime opportunities Company vehicle Company-provided uniform Company tablet and cell phone Opportunities for advancement Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed.
