Transportation Manager

A food and beverage production organization in the Los Angeles, CA area is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee fleet operations, dispatch coordination, routing, scheduling, safety, and DOT compliance. This is a direct hire opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys leading transportation teams, improving daily fleet performance, and ensuring products move efficiently through a fast-paced distribution environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily transportation operations, including fleet utilization, dispatch activity, route planning, and delivery scheduling. Ensure compliance with DOT, fleet safety, driver standards, and company transportation policies. Monitor transportation performance, identify operational issues, and implement improvements to support efficiency and service levels. Partner with warehouse, production, customer service, and operations teams to coordinate timely movement of goods. Maintain accurate transportation records using ERP systems and support reporting related to fleet, compliance, routing, and scheduling. Lead, support, and coach transportation staff while promoting a safety-focused and accountable work environment. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
