PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desired Must hold current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificates Working knowledge of Google Drive Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Must be able to lift 75 lbs, and perform the daily care tasks for individuals with physical disabilities Must have demonstrated leadership skills consistent with camp rules and policies Must agree to abide by Camp Tuolumne Trails rules and policies Must pass LIVESCAN fingerprinting and background check Benefits and Pay: On-site housing, meals provided ServSafe, Wilderness First-Aid (WFA), and CPR certifications Dayrate: TBD based on experience Up to $250 travel stipend $550 End of Summer Bonus! Job Functions and Responsibilities Able to live on-site for the duration of the summer program Attends Supervisor Training prior to staff orientation to familiarize themselves with our program, prepare program areas, and plan summer activities Attends and participates in staff orientation and ongoing training sessions throughout the summer During orientation, responsible for training staff in the rules and procedures of the program areas. Safety and emergency procedures are to be emphasized and followed Responsible for maintaining program areas and keeping equipment and supplies in order Plans and modifies activities to fit the needs of their campers. Supervises campers and staff in program areas and utilizes staff in the most effective ways Directly responsible to the Program Director, but works closely with all program staff and unit directors in the planning of program activities and special events Collaborates with the Program Director to organize the program schedule each session Organizes and uploads camper photos and media at the end of each session Assists unit directors with camper care and supervision. This includes dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, lifting, and transferring Performs “Supervisor on Duty” tasks on scheduled nights, including curfew check-ins with counseling staff In an emergency, assumes responsibility of any job deemed necessary by the Program Director to ensure the safety of all campers and staff Prepares written reports at the end of each session evaluating the program. Submits three complete lesson plans throughout the summer to add to the program resource files At the end of the summer season: Complete end of summer report Closes down program areas and completes an inventory of supplies on hand with recommendations for the following year #J-18808-Ljbffr
