Passion for working in retail providing a welcoming and positive grocery shopping experience Job Responsibility Process customer grocery orders efficiently and accurately- in person and online ensuring a positive shopping experience Customer service focused: addresses customer needs in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly and courteously. Manage and maintain Pastry section Follow all cash handling procedures – meeting cashier variance policy. Maximize sales through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product. Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment Job Skills Demonstrates patience, respect and curtesy with customers and Team Members Excellent understanding of US monetary system Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team Strong Computer skills- ability to learn POS system and operate scales Strong work ethic & works with a sense of urgency. Strong attention to detail Experience 1-3 years prior retail experience desired, training provided Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Must be able to lift 30 pounds. In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
