Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the frequency, intensity, and duration of clients’ mood disorders, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based practices. Implement therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, appropriate treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote recovery. Monitor client progress through regular assessments and modify treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to offer coordinated care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's health are considered. Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance therapeutic techniques and methodologies. Maintain detailed and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings, offering insights and learning from fellow professionals. Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, working to dismantle stigma surrounding mood disorders. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clientele may also encompass vulnerable groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role will be pivotal in providing them with guidance and support as they navigate their mental health journeys. Qualifications A valid and active LMFT license in the state of Illinois. A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Demonstrated ability to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibit empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach towards clients’ challenges and experiences. Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively manage workloads and administrative tasks. Preferred Experience Prior experience working specifically with mood disorders or within a community mental health setting. Familiarity with integrated care models that involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and their application in therapy. Experience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
