Calibration Laboratory Technician

Calibration Laboratory Technician Ensures that the functional quality products are maintained in accordance with established requirements. Role Qualifications Must possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Must be a team player in a continuous improvement environment. Must be extremely well organized and detail oriented along with exposure to office and manufacturing environments. Previous experience with Coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Must have a minimum of 2 years inspection experience in a calibration environment. Primary Responsibilities Performs inspections of company and customer owned products to determine conformance with specifications. Adhere to internal controls under ISO 17025. Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and various quality processes. Process associated documentation including process order documents, rework tags and nonconforming material documents. USE a coordinate‑measuring machine that measures the geometry of physical objects by sensing discrete points on the surface of the object with a probe. Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques. Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a minimum of 2 years inspection experience in calibration. Must have a Quality Certification, example ASQ-CCT. Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) experience required. Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and quality processes. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and inspection instructions. GD&T knowledge necessary. Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow written instructions and techniques.
