YOUR SCHEDULE

This full-time position follows a unique Tuesday-through-Monday (7 days on, 7 days off) rotation . On the first day of the week, our team meets at the office in Thomasville, NC, and for the rest of the week, they drive to all the cities they service. Travel is required, with company-paid lodging and per diem provided while on assignment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

In this role, you'll start your work rotation by reporting to our Thomasville, NC location before heading out with your crew to project sites across Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Your days will be active and rewarding, operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and hydraulic dredges; performing grading, excavation, and pipe installation; and helping maintain stormwater systems that protect communities. You'll organize job sites, prepare materials, inspect equipment, and collaborate closely with your team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience (construction, excavation, grading, landscaping, or stormwater preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to safely tow a 16–24 ft trailer
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and uneven terrain

Preferred qualifications include prior stormwater maintenance experience and familiarity with erosion control or dredging equipment .
