IBJI offers a highly competitive compensation structure including a strong base salary, therapist-friendly quarterly bonuses up to $11,500 annually, sign-on bonus, profit sharing, $2000/year towards continuing education, ABPTRFE Orthopedic Residency Program (candidates paid full salary while working a reduced schedule), a two to three month mentoring period to ramp up to full caseload, critical reasoning development seminar for new grads to gain further confidence with assessing and developing a plan of care for common orthopedic conditions, leadership development series geared towards those seeking management or leadership positions and how to tackle communication, coaching, and developing strong teams, collaborative opportunities with physicians including surgical observations at IBJI ASCs, monthly grand rounds, and shared EMR for access to operative notes, imaging reports, and communication.

New grad physical therapists are encouraged to apply! The position is under the general direction of the facility manager. The main focus of the position is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients.

Responsibilities include exceptional patient care, interpreting physician orders, performing initial evaluations and establishing treatment plans and functional goals, responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care, written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab, determining appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up, supervision of rehabilitation technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed, compliance with daily paperwork, staying current with billing policies and demonstrating ethical billing practices, maintaining active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities, developing positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI, taking an active role in the patient medical team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc., and participating in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach.

Requirements include graduate from accredited physical therapy program, licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois, ability to work in a fast paced environment, professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills, ability to lift greater than 25 pounds, demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing, ability to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes, and ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
